My sister, Doretta, whom we fondly call Mamya, celebrated her 50th birthday last May 4. The party was well attended by her family, relatives, friends, co-workers and batchmates. Each of my siblings had their share of helping the celebrant. My younger sister did the collation of pictures for the video presentation, my other sister took care of the giveaways while I personally arranged & decorated the dessert buffet.
This beautiful two-tier chocolate cake with bright yellow fondant and adorned with colorful flowers higlighted the dessert buffet.
Another dainty two-layer cake with elegant edible flowers created a chic and shabby look of the dessert buffet.
The party was held at Klydee’s garden.

The travel from Baguio City to La Trinidad, Benguet where the Strawberry Farm is located highlighted our Cordillera summer vacation.Vast lands planted with strawberries captured my eyes and melted my mouth.
You can buy a box of strawberries for only P100.
Or you can pick strawberries for P400 per kilo. They’re surely ‘freshly picked’ if you do the picking.
The strawberry ice cream was to die for. Though it’s a no-no for me to eat sweets, well, that ice cream was irressistable. It was the yummiest ice cream I have tasted.
We were in strawberry farm but ironically, lettuce were abundant too and it was such a sight to see different varieties of lettuce that come in different colors.
Of course, they’ve got strawberry keychains!

Hurray to my baby girl! She’s one of the 1340 students (out of 25,405) who passed the Philippine Science High School National Competitive Exam. The exam was conducted on October 22, 2016 in different testing centers all over the country.
